Urban Young Actors is a leading drama school and talent agency for young people aged 8-21 in Leicester. We specialise in acting for theatre, TV and film, and run weekly workshops as well as larger projects. Our classes are run by leading industry experts and are great fun for anyone wanting to perform, develop their skills or build their confidence.

This year for our summer project we hosted a 2-minute short film competition which put our actors in control. With just a few weeks to conceptualise, storyboard, rehearse, film and edit, each and every actor stepped up to the challenge. To judge the competition, we brought in professional actor Riad Richie (the RSC, BBC, Disney and the National Theatre), to select one winning entry per group.
