Showreel Project 2024

26th January 2025

For our main project of 2024 we created 28 cinematic showreels for 70 actors. As well as running our weekly acting classes, we also run our UYA Talent Agency and frequently put our actors forward for professional castings for stage and screen.

Fight Performance with Grace Ford

For our summer project this year, we were very excited to welcome UYA alumna Grace Ford back as a guest practitioner to work with our actors on a series of mini-action films.

Urban’s Immersive Theatre Productions 2023

For our final stage productions this year we wanted to do something unique to anything we’ve done before! In September, we set out to create four original immersive plays that break the conventions of traditional theatre, smash through the fourth wall and take the audience on a journey.

Scratch Slam 2023

The Scratch Slam is always our favourite part of the year! A combination of a scratch night and a monologue slam, our actors spend the weeks leading up to the competition preparing an eclectic mix of performances.

Finding Home at Curve Theatre

Urban’s Red Carpet Premieres

This year we were finally able to share our latest short films with our members during two red carpet premieres. Held at the beautiful Regal Cinema in Melton, both days were so special, and it was wonderful to see all our members and their families come together to celebrate everything that went into this project.
