OUR GROUPS
In January 2008 we set out on a journey to establish a drama school for young people that made professional actor training affordable and accessible to all. We are currently running four groups at two locations in Leicester and Barkby.
Barkby Under 12s
When: Saturday 10-12pm
Where: Barkby Village Hall, Leicester
Age: 8-11
Barkby 12-16s
When: Saturday 12-2pm
Where: Barkby Village Hall, Leicester
Age: 12-16
Leicester Over 16s
When: Thursday 5-7pm & 7-9pm
Where: Quad Studios, Leicester
Age: 16-21
Membership Fees
Urban membership is £46.50 per month. We run weekly 2-hour workshops and various stage and screen projects throughout the year. As part of our UYA Agency we also put our members up for professional auditions and opportunities as they arise.
A one-off joining fee also applies.
We are open all year round and only break over the Christmas period. We have deliberately tried to keep our membership fees at a low price so that Urban is accessible to all. A number of scholarships are also available.
If you join us you will be expected to attend each weekly session.
